About Us

In 1967, David Yaeger opened a small farm stand and greenhouse on Route 38 in DeKalb, IL, just east of Cortland. He turned his small hobby of selling plants out of his mother’s garage into a family business. The farm grew to include 3 greenhouses, a diverse vegetable garden, several acres of sweet corn, a pumpkin patch, and family-friendly fall activities. Mark Yaeger (David’s nephew) worked alongside him for decades and took over the farm in 2003.

For over 55 years, Yaeger’s has taken great pride in growing high-quality flowering plants and field fresh produce for our customers. We are honored to be a part of the DeKalb and surrounding communities. We are excited to have a 3rd generation of Yaegers in the family business that will continue the family tradition for years to come.
